This is an older song that was written in a period of parenting overwhelm. Finding my sensory issues were compounding my challenges of parenting two kids also on the Spectrum, I was feeling desperate and melting down often. I was not receiving the support I needed from my community, and instead feeling very judged and alone. However, of course, the love of my children kept me going, as it always does.
