I wrote the lyrics for this song on top of the main guitar riff, when I was feeling lonely in some situational pain. I had lost a friend who I considered a confidant, and someone I could share my personal troubles with without being judged or feeling like I was imposing. Often, I don't share very deeply with friends beyond a tertiary bitch sesh about surface issues, and am rather the one that friends open up to instead. It'd be nice to have more friends that I could really open up to.
